Terms and Conditions – Vista1travel

1. Payment Schedule & Booking

To book any Vista1travel tour or trek, a 50% deposit of the total price is required. This deposit is essential for purchasing train tickets and Machu Picchu entrance fees, which are subject to availability. The outstanding balance is due upon your arrival in Cusco, either 24 hours prior to departure or during your briefing session. Failure to pay the balance before departure will result in the inability to partake in your trek.

2. Trip Itineraries & Adjustments

All tours and hikes are subject to changes based on unforeseen circumstances. Vista1travel reserves the right to cancel or modify any trip due to river conditions, road closures, extreme weather, or political climate. We also reserve the right to cancel any participant’s trip due to unsuitability (e.g., age, ill health, poor fitness, or intoxication).

  • Missed tours due to the reasons listed above are non-refundable and cannot be recuperated.

  • If a trip is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, a trip credit equal to the full amount paid will be issued.

3. Change Policy

If you wish to change your departure date or route after the reservation/deposit has been made:

  • More than 48 hours before departure: A fee of $40 USD per person applies.

  • Within 48 hours of departure: A fee of $80 USD per person applies.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Vista1travel reserves the right to cancel trips. In such cases, a full refund (including the deposit) will be provided. Vista1travel is not responsible for additional expenses incurred (e.g., non-refundable airfare, gear, visa fees, or medical expenses).

  • Deposits: All 50% deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Delayed Arrivals: We assume no responsibility for missed tours due to delayed flights or buses. While we will do our best to accommodate modifications, all additional costs will be the client’s responsibility.

  • No-Shows: Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure due to illness, missed flights, or any other reason are considered «No-Shows» and are subject to full payment with no refunds.

  • Inca Trail: All Inca Trail (2D & 4D) cancellations are considered «No-Shows,» and the full trek price must be paid.

  • In-route Emergencies: If you fall ill on the trail, emergency transportation and medical costs are not included in the tour price.

5. Medical Records

We require medical releases for guests over 70 years of age or those with a history of cardiovascular disease or chronic illness. You must inform your guides of any medications or conditions to prevent accidents or emergencies.

6. Travel Insurance

For your protection, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. This should cover trip cancellations, travel delays, medical expenses, and emergency assistance to protect your financial investment.
