Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and handle your private transfer directly to your hotel. We highly recommend resting and enjoying a traditional cup of warm coca tea, which is excellent for acclimatizing to the altitude. At 13:00, you will meet your professional guide to begin your exploration of imperial Cusco. The tour starts at the magnificent Cusco Cathedral, renowned for its exquisite colonial paintings from the Cusqueña School. Next, you will visit the sacred Qoricancha (Coricancha) Temple of the Sun, considered by the Inkas to be their most important religious site.
The journey then moves just outside the city center to explore the monumental archaeological ruins nearby. Your journey begins at 08:00 with a morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco (please ensure you have your passports and Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turístico) ready). We will drive down into the magnificent valley to our first destination: the impressive Pisac Inca Citadel. Perched high on the mountainside, you will explore its breathtaking network of ancient temples, residential quarters, and the historic Intihuatana (the hitching post of the sun). Afterward, we travel along the Urubamba riverbank to enjoy a delicious, traditional buffet lunch.
Following lunch, we continue to the spectacular Ollantaytambo Fortress. Here, you will marvel at the monumental archaeological site, featuring colossal blocks of rock perfectly carved and polished within the Temple of the Sun. After discovering the charming, living Inca streets of Ollantaytambo village, you will board the afternoon train at 16:36. Enjoy a deeply scenic rail journey through the changing landscapes into the lush cloud forest, arriving in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town) at 18:15, where our staff will accompany you directly to your hotel.
An early morning breakfast at your hotel prepares you for the ultimate highlight of your trip. We will head to the bus station to board the shuttle bus ascending the lush, winding mountain road to the world-renowned Machu Picchu Inca Sanctuary. Upon passing the main checkpoint, you will embark on a premium 2-hour guided tour through the masterfully planned sectors of this wonder of the world. Your expert guide will lead you through the agricultural terraces, the sprawling urban quarters, and the sacred Temple zone, showcasing the magnificent Temple of the Sun and the enigmatic Intihuatana sundial.
Following this comprehensive historical immersion, you will comfortably exit the archaeological site according to official regulations. You will then take the shuttle bus back down to the vibrant town of Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy a relaxed lunch and browse the local artisan markets. At 14:30, you will board your return train heading to Ollantaytambo, where our private transport van awaits to drive you smoothly back to your hotel in Cusco for the night.
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco at 06:30 to transfer you to the private tourist bus station for your journey along the famous Route of the Sun toward Puno. This is not just a bus ride, but a fully guided day tour with amazing stops. First, you will visit the "Sistine Chapel of America" in Andahuaylillas, a 17th-century church famous for its gold-leaf altarpieces and stunning murals. Next, you will explore the monumental Raqchi Archaeological Site, featuring the massive Temple of the God Wiracocha, the main deity of the Incas.
We will then arrive in the city of Sicuani to enjoy a delicious, included buffet lunch of local Andean cuisine. After lunch, the scenic drive continues to La Raya Pass (4,350 m / 14,271 ft), the highest point of the journey and the official geographic border between Cusco and Puno, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks. Our final stop is the pre-Inca museum of Pukara, famous for its ancient stone carvings and pottery. We will arrive in Puno at approximately 17:00, where our team will pick you up from the bus station and transfer you smoothly to your hotel.
Your day begins with a 07:00 pickup from your Puno hotel to transfer you to the port, where you will board our boat to start your tour of the legendary Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Our first stop will be the unique Floating Islands of Uros. Here, you will step onto platforms made entirely of native Totora reeds and meet the welcoming local residents.
