One Day River Rafting Adventure: Chuquicahuana (Cusco)

The Best White Water Rafting Experience in the Peruvian Andes

The Urubamba River is one of the most iconic waterways in Peru, flowing from the high Andean peaks through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing by Machu Picchu, and deep into the Amazon jungle. For adventure seekers, we offer the most exciting and cleanest section of the river: Chuquicahuana, also known as «Chuqui.»

Unlike other parts of the river, the Upper Urubamba (Chuquicahuana) offers non-polluted waters and consistent rapids, making it the premier choice for a one-day rafting tour from Cusco.

What to Expect on the River:

  • Scenic Landscapes: Enjoy breathtaking views of the riverside, filled with towering eucalyptus trees and vibrant Andean flora.

  • Thrilling Rapids: This section features exciting Class II, III, and III+ rapids, perfect for both beginners and those with some experience.

  • High Season Adrenaline: While accessible all year round, from December to March, the river rises to Class IV, providing an intense challenge for adrenaline junkies.

Breathe in the fresh mountain air, conquer the rapids, and enjoy a day filled with action and beautiful scenery. Book your Cusco Rafting adventure with us today!
